Eton Mess
A classic English dessert featuring crushed meringues, whipped cream, and fresh berries. It's a delightful combination of textures and flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 cups (crushed) Meringues
- 2 cups Heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
- 1 pint (sliced) Strawberries
- 1/2 cup Blueberries
Whipping the Cream
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Add the granulated sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
Preparing the Berries
Wash and slice the strawberries. Gently mix the strawberries and blueberries together in a separate bowl.
Assembling the Eton Mess
Gently crush the meringues into bite-sized pieces. In individual serving glasses or a large bowl, layer the crushed meringues, whipped cream, and mixed berries. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a topping of berries.
Serving
