Ingredients
  • 4 Salmon fillets (skin on or off)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Prepare the Lemon-Herb Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, lemon juice, parsley, dill, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Set aside.

Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Prepare the Charcoal Grill

Light the charcoal and allow it to burn until the coals are covered with a light gray ash. Arrange the coals for indirect grilling, creating a cooler zone on one side of the grill.

Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets, on the cooler side of the grill. Cover the grill and cook for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is almost cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Add the Lemon-Herb Butter

During the last few minutes of cooking, top each salmon fillet with a generous amount of the lemon-herb butter. Allow the butter to melt and baste the salmon with the melted butter.

Serve

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
