A vibrant and delicious tofu and broccoli stir-fry ready in just 10 minutes! Perfect for a quick and healthy weeknight meal. This recipe is packed with flavor and nutrients, making it a great choice for busy individuals and families.
Ingredients
- 200 g Firm Tofu
- 200 g Broccoli Florets
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
Prepare the Tofu
Press the firm tofu to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into small cubes (about 1cm). This will help it cook quickly and evenly.
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
Stir-Fry the Aromatics
Heat sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add grated ginger and minced garlic, cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
Add Broccoli and Tofu
Add broccoli florets to the wok and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the cubed tofu and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes, until the broccoli is slightly tender-crisp and the tofu is lightly browned.
Add the Sauce and Simmer
Pour the sauce mixture over the tofu and broccoli. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu and broccoli evenly, about 1 minute. Add red pepper flakes for extra spice, if desired.
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve immediately over rice or noodles (optional).

FAQ
-
Can I use other vegetables in this stir-fry?
Yes, you can! Bell peppers, snap peas, carrots, and mushrooms all work well in this stir-fry. Adjust the cooking time as needed based on the vegetable. -
Can I use a different type of tofu?
While firm tofu is recommended, you can use extra-firm tofu as well. Soft or silken tofu is not recommended for stir-frying as it will fall apart easily. -
How can I make this stir-fry vegan?
This recipe is already vegan! Just ensure you are using a vegan-friendly soy sauce. -
Can I prepare this recipe in advance?
While best served immediately, you can chop the vegetables and prepare the sauce in advance to save time. Avoid cooking the tofu too far in advance, as it can become rubbery.
