Speedy Bacon & Egg Grilled Toast
A simple and satisfying bacon and egg grilled toast ready in minutes! Perfect for a quick breakfast, brunch, or snack.
Ingredients
- 2 Bread slices (thick-cut)
- 2 Bacon strips
- 1 Egg
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
Prepare the Bacon
Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess fat. Crumble or chop the bacon into smaller pieces.
Toast the Bread
Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Place the bread, butter-side down, in the same skillet you used for the bacon (this will add bacon flavor to the toast). Grill until golden brown.
Cook the Egg
While the bread is toasting, cook the egg. You can fry it in the same skillet (after removing the bread) or poach it in a separate pan. Aim for a runny yolk.
Assemble the Toast
Place the grilled toast on a plate. Top with the cooked bacon pieces and then carefully place the egg on top. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
