Vanilla Bean Latte
Indulge in a luxuriously smooth Vanilla Bean Latte, crafted with freshly pulled espresso, steamed milk, and the sweet aroma of real vanilla bean. This recipe elevates the classic latte with a touch of elegance.
Ingredients
- 2 shots Espresso
- 1 cup Milk (whole or your choice)
- 1/2 Vanilla Bean
- 1 teaspoon Sugar (optional)
Prepare the Vanilla Bean Infusion
Start by splitting the vanilla bean lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds. Place the seeds and the pod in a small saucepan with the milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the milk is steaming but not boiling. Remove from heat and let steep for 15-20 minutes to infuse the vanilla flavor. Remove the vanilla pod.
Froth the Milk
Using a milk frother, froth the vanilla-infused milk until it is light and airy. If you don't have a frother, you can use a whisk or immersion blender to create foam.
Pull the Espresso
Brew two shots of espresso using your espresso machine. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use a Moka pot or a strong brewed coffee as a substitute.
Assemble the Latte
Pour the espresso into a mug. Gently pour the steamed vanilla milk over the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon. Spoon the foam on top of the latte. If desired, sprinkle with a pinch of vanilla bean seeds or a dash of cinnamon.
