Easy Breakfast Scramble
A quick and versatile breakfast scramble recipe perfect for using up leftover veggies and cheese. Customize it to your liking!
Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 2 tablespoons Milk or Cream
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 1/4 cup Shredded Cheese
- 1/2 cup Diced Vegetables (Onion, Peppers, Spinach, Tomatoes)
- 1/4 cup Cooked Meat (Optional: Ham, Sausage, Bacon)
Prepare the Ingredients
First, dice your vegetables and cook any meat you plan to include. Set them aside. Grate your cheese.
Whisk the Eggs
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and pepper until well combined. Don't over-whisk as this can make the eggs tough.
Cook the Scramble
Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 30 seconds, allowing a thin layer to set on the bottom.
Scramble and Add Ingredients
Gently push the cooked egg from the edges towards the center, allowing the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Continue this process until the eggs are mostly cooked but still slightly moist. Add the cooked vegetables, meat (if using), and cheese to the skillet. Cook for another minute or two until the cheese is melted and the filling is heated through.
Serve
Serve immediately, garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
