Prepare the Ingredients

Before you start cooking, ensure all your ingredients are ready. Slice the mushrooms, halve the tomatoes (if using grilled tomatoes), and prepare the bacon and sausages. Open the can of baked beans.

Cook the Sausages

Heat a tablespoon of oil or lard in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through. Ensure they are cooked all the way through by checking the internal temperature with a meat thermometer.

Cook the Bacon

Remove the sausages from the pan and set aside. Add the bacon to the same pan and cook until crispy, usually about 5-7 minutes, depending on your preference.

Fry the Eggs

Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside with the sausages. Add a little more oil or lard if needed. Crack the eggs into the pan and fry to your liking – sunny-side up, over easy, or well-done. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook the Tomatoes and Mushrooms

If you are grilling the tomatoes, grill them for a few minutes on each side until softened. If frying, add them to the pan after the eggs. Add the sliced mushrooms to the same pan and cook until softened and lightly browned.

Heat the Baked Beans

While everything else is cooking, heat the baked beans in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Alternatively, you can microwave them.

Toast the Bread

Toast the bread to your preferred level of doneness. Butter the toast while it's still warm.

Assemble the Breakfast

Arrange the sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, and baked beans on a plate. Serve with the buttered toast. Add black pudding if using.
