Ingredients
  • 1 Baguette
  • 250 g Ground Lamb
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Mint
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze
  • 1/4 Red Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

Prepare the Lamb Mixture

In a medium bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped mint, minced garlic, diced red onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Cook the Lamb

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the lamb mixture and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until the lamb is fully cooked and browned. Drain any excess fat.

Prepare the Crostini

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into ½-inch thick rounds. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil.

Toast the Bread

Bake the baguette slices for 8-10 minutes, or until they are lightly golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Assemble the Crostini

Spoon the cooked lamb mixture onto each toasted baguette slice. Drizzle with balsamic glaze. Serve immediately or at room temperature.

FAQ

  • Can I use a different type of bread?

Yes, you can use other types of bread like sourdough or ciabatta. Just make sure to slice it into thin rounds and toast it until crispy.
  • Can I make this ahead of time?

You can prepare the lamb mixture ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Toast the bread and assemble the crostini just before serving to prevent the bread from becoming soggy.
