Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Pork
- 1 cup, finely chopped Napa Cabbage
- 2 , thinly sliced Green Onions
- 1 tbsp, grated Ginger
- 2 cloves, minced Garlic
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 40-50 Gyoza Wrappers
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Water
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, Napa cabbage, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Wrap the Gyoza
Place a gyoza wrapper in the palm of your hand. Add a small spoonful of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper in half to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges together to seal. You can create pleats along one side for a more traditional look. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Pan-Fry the Gyoza
Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Arrange the gyoza in a single layer in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown. Pour water into the skillet, cover immediately, and reduce heat to low. Steam for 5-7 minutes, or until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through. Remove the lid and continue cooking until the water has evaporated and the bottoms are crispy.
Serve
Serve the gyoza hot with your favorite dipping sauce (soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili oil).
