Spicy Harissa Shrimp Skewers with Lemon-Herb Yogurt
These spicy harissa shrimp skewers are a quick and easy Mediterranean appetizer that's bursting with flavor. The shrimp are marinated in a fiery harissa paste and grilled to perfection, then served with a cooling lemon-herb yogurt dip. They are perfect for a Meze Platter!
Ingredients
- 1 lb Large shrimp
- 2 tablespoons Harissa paste
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 cup Plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Fresh mint
- 2 tablespoons Fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 8 Wooden skewers
Marinate the Shrimp
In a bowl, whisk together the harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour.
Prepare the Yogurt Dip
While the shrimp are marinating, prepare the lemon-herb yogurt dip. In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, chopped mint, chopped dill, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Assemble the Skewers
Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked wooden skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
Grill the Shrimp
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Be careful not to overcook them.
